Nobody publishes CCTV prices in the UAE. Here are real ranges.

Ask three installers "how much for cameras?" and you get three versions of "it depends, we will visit you." It does depend — but you deserve numbers before you invite anyone over. Below are the typical market ranges we see across Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai in 2026 for professional installation with proper cable, warranty and configuration. Your exact quote follows a free survey, but these ranges tell you instantly if someone is overcharging you — or quoting suspiciously cheap.

All figures in AED, supply and installation included, typical market ranges — not a fixed price list. Final pricing always follows a site survey.

Home and villa packages

  • Apartment starter — 2 to 3 cameras: roughly 900–1,800. Entrance and living areas, phone viewing included.
  • Small villa — 4 cameras (2MP–4MP IP or HD analog): roughly 1,500–3,500 depending on camera class and cable runs.
  • Standard villa — 8 cameras: roughly 3,500–8,000. Gates, perimeter, entrances, driveway, garden.
  • Large villa — 12–16 cameras with color night vision: roughly 8,000–16,000.

What moves the number inside each range: camera resolution (2MP vs 4MP vs 4K), color-at-night sensors versus standard IR, cable distances and conduit work, and recorder storage size.

Shops and business premises

  • Small shop — 4 cameras: roughly 2,000–4,500 with commercial-grade equipment.
  • Restaurant / supermarket — 8–12 cameras: roughly 4,500–12,000 including till coverage at evidence quality.
  • Warehouse — 8–16 cameras with long-range coverage: roughly 6,000–18,000; height access and distances drive it.
  • Regulated categories (SIRA Dubai, police requirements elsewhere): compliant systems for small premises typically start around 5,000 and scale with category strictness — the retention and image standards set a floor. Details in our SIRA guide and Ajman Police regulations guide.

Common add-ons and repairs

  • Extra camera added to an existing system: roughly 400–950 installed, camera included.
  • Hard disk upgrade (2TB–6TB surveillance-grade): roughly 300–900 fitted and configured.
  • Recorder replacement keeping your cameras: roughly 700–2,500 — the usual cure for ancient systems with no phone app.
  • Phone app setup on an existing system: minor service visit.
  • Annual maintenance (AMC): from around 600/year for villas, 1,500–5,000/year for business systems — full breakdown in our AMC cost guide.

Why the cheapest quote usually costs the most

The 999-dirham "full villa package" exists. Here is where it saves the money: cameras with plastic housings that fog in one summer, coax or network cable with aluminium cores that corrode at the connectors, a desktop hard disk that dies under 24/7 writing within a year, no conduit so the cable cooks on the roof, and no one answering the phone in month six. We replace one of these systems most weeks. Buy once.

Choosing a CCTV company in Ajman

If you are comparing quotes from any CCTV company in Ajman, make the comparison fair — demand each quote states:

  • Camera brand, model and resolution — "HD camera" is not a specification.
  • Cable type and whether conduit/trunking is included — the hidden cost where cheap quotes hide.
  • Recorder model and hard disk size, with the retention days that gives you at full quality.
  • Configuration included: phone app for the family, motion zones, camera-down alerts.
  • Warranty terms and after-sales response time — who answers, and how fast, when a camera dies in August.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 4-camera setup cost for a villa in Ajman?

Typically 1,500–3,500 dirhams installed with professional cable and phone viewing, depending on camera class and distances. A firm number takes one free survey visit.

Are IP cameras worth the extra cost over analog?

For most new installations, yes — sharper images, cleaner cabling (one cable for power and data), easier expansion. Analog HD still makes sense when reusing existing coax on a budget. We quote both when it is a close call.

What ongoing costs should I expect after installation?

Electricity is negligible; there are no mandatory subscriptions for standard systems. Budget for a hard disk replacement every 3–4 years and an optional AMC if you want scheduled checks. Cloud storage plans exist but are optional extras, not requirements.

Do you charge for the site survey?

No. Survey and quotation are free anywhere in Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai and across the UAE — and the quote is fixed once given.

Can you match a cheaper quote I received?

Send it to us with its specifications. If it is comparing like for like, we will tell you honestly — and if its numbers only work with corner-cutting, we will show you exactly which corners.
