CCTV & security systems in Al Nabba
Installing cameras in Al Nabba's older buildings
Al Nabba is one of the older neighbourhoods in Sharjah's city centre, with low-rise residential buildings, family houses and small shops close together. Older construction changes how a job is done. Walls are solid, spare conduits are rare, and owners do not want cable stapled across a facade. Good CCTV camera installation in Al Nabba is mostly about planning the routes before the first hole is drilled, and leaving an older facade looking as it did before.
How we work in older properties
- Route survey first: we look for existing service paths, roof access and ceiling voids before fixing camera positions.
- Neat trunking painted to match where cable has to run on the surface, kept along edges and corners.
- Fewer, better-placed cameras: one wide-angle camera on a corner often does the work of two cheap ones on a wall.
- PoE to keep wiring simple: one network cable carries power and video, so no extra socket is needed at each camera.
- Night vision tuned for close walls: in a tight side passage, strong infrared bounces off the opposite wall and washes the picture out.
Houses, buildings and shops
For family houses we cover the gate, front door and any side passage. For small residential buildings, the entrance, stairs and parking. For shops, the door and the till, with recording that meets Sharjah Police CCTV requirements. Home owners can read the home CCTV privacy guide on keeping cameras off neighbours' property. The same team can also extend WiFi to rooms an older house's router never reached.
Common questions
Will installation damage the walls of an older house?
We keep drilling to a minimum, use existing routes where we can and seal every entry point. You see the planned positions before work starts, and if no hidden route exists we discuss the options with you first.
Can we start with a few cameras and add more later?
Yes. We fit a recorder with spare channels, so cameras can be added when needed without replacing it.
Who handles CCTV repair in Al Nabba if something fails?
We do, as a scheduled visit or under an annual maintenance contract with priority for faults.
